I hate to say it, but I'm kind of embarrassed for Ice-T right now. This is definitely not him in his prime. Ice-T has been recorded telling Soulja Boy he single handily ruined hip hop and that he should eat a d*ck.

Now, you'd expect that out of say, another 18 year old, but a 50 year old rapper attacking a 17 year old rapper seems way out of line. Quit hating Ice-T and go back to playing a fake cop on tv!

I am not sure how old this rumor is but I read it online today and just had to share it with you guys. Word on the street is that the hip hop entrepreneur practices nude yoga in a Chelsea gym steam room.

It is public knowledge that Russell Simmons is an avid performer of yoga, but it was unknown that not only does he practice nude, but he also allegedly doesn't have the package to match his bank account!

At the end of the day I'm sure the yoga helps him cope with his manhood problems, well that and the fact that his bank account is probably in the top 10th of a percent in the entire world.

As most of you know Kanye West's mother recently passed away in November of 2007. For somebody who has suffered such a great unexpected loss, he sure is positive. He proves his point in the following speech that money does NOT buy happiness:

Chris Milk told me tragedy can produce great art and this is definitely true. I am a total mad man now, up till 3 am every night, trying 2 fight pain, board-um, and uncertainty with creativity. All that said, life is good..... good as finding the perfect fabric for a simple one button casual blazer with matching pants.

There is ALWAYS another side to the story, and the alleged other side of the story on the Young Buck vs. Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson story is that Young Buck was half a million in debt to the IRS. 50 Cent, being the good friend he was, paid off Buck's debt and gave buck the opportunity to pay him back.

Rumor has it that Young Buck STILL owed 50 cent, Two hundred thousand dollars and this is the real reason why his royalties have been with held.

Jay-Z Lands 150 Million Deal

Sources are saying that Jay-Z recently scored a 150 million dollar deal with Live Nation. Jay-z still owes Def Jam Records one more album before his contract expires so I'm guessing he will have to finish up one more album before carrying on over to the new deal.

Anyway's, Live Nation is supposed to handle everything related to Jay-z; his music, his tours, his endorsements and other things produced by Roc Nation.

Cee-Lo recently cancelled a promo tour to London at the 229 because his wife had some sort of illness. I don't know exactly what was wrong with her or how sick she was, but Cee-Lo decided to be a man and cancel the sold out show at the very last moment to make sure he took care of what is important, his family.

I'm sure he will make it up to all the fans in London and reschedule another show. Some might call this crazy, but I call it manning up!

Sean Levert Found Dead In Jail

Over the weekend, R&B singer Sean Levert was found dead in his Cleveland, Ohio jail. It is not clear what the singer died from, but it is one of many completely random deaths that has popped up over the last few months.

For those of you who don't know who Sean Levert is, he is the son of Eddie Levert and younger brother of the infamous Gerald Levert. He was also in a popular R&B group called Levert which sang such melodies as Casanova.

Sean was no hardened criminal, he was imprisoned because he owed upwards of $80,000 in child support for his three children. Sean died at the young age of 39.

T.I Pleads Guilty To Weapon Charges

We have some good news and bad news for our good friend T.I.

The good news, is that he is off house arrest and won't be spending the rest of his natural life in prison.

The bad news is that our man T.I pleaded guilty to to two counts of of illegally possessing machine guns and silencers, and one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. What was the result of pleading guilty? T.I, otherwise known as Clifford Harris Jr. will be serving 1 year plus 1 day of jail time as well as 1500 hours of community service.

T.I will have to serve 1000 hours of community service prior to his jail time, then an additional 500 afterwards. He will also have to speak to inner city kids, and teach them why its a bad idea to get involved in illegal activities.

The Game Headed To Trial On Assault & Gun Charges

Ex G-Unit rapper made yet another appearance in court yesterday based on him assaulting a man and pulling a gun on him in the midst of a pick basketball game.

The game previously plead not guilty to the charges, regardless, yesterday the judge scheduled the trial to take place on February 4th.

Happy new years party people. 2007 was a great year for hip hop and music in general. There were some highs, and some lows. We lost a few good men and some great new artists popped up. Our boy Spice one took a few near fatal bullets and our boy Pimp C, rest his soul passed long before his time. Also Kanye West lost his mother in a tragic plastic surgery recovery gone bad.

Janet Jackson dropped one of the hottest 'leaked' tracks ever with 'Feedback'. 50 Cent was accused of dating half the females in R&B as well as losing a monster sales competition to Kanye West.

My man Soulja Boy rocked the world with his Ring tone Rap track 'Crank That' which has managed to not only create a new bread of music, it has also unraveled a new dance!

In non hip hop related news, Britney Spears Sister, Jamie Lynn Spears has continued the family tradition of being a whore by getting knocked up at the tender age of 16 by a very wholesome church going 19 year old.

If there was a year for any rapper, I'd have to give the award to Lil' Wayne; that man has been featured on so many tracks, its unbelievable. If you hadn't heard of Wayne, before 2007, I'm positive you know who the man is now, and if you don't you must be living up under a rock.

There has been many other happenings this year as well, but if I was to sum everything up, you'd probably stop reading and head somewhere else, so I'll keep this short and sweet!

For those of you old enough to be listening to hip hop back in the 90's Spice One was a Hayward, California gangsta rapper who did many collaborations with artists such as 2pac, Method Man as well as many other rappers.

Unfortunately, Spice One was shot last week two times and is apparently in critical condition. He was shot two times and one of the bullets came very close to hitting his heart.

50 Cent Supports Kanye West

After what come across as a monster rivalry of two giants earlier this year with 50 Cent and Kanye West's albums going head to head, 50 Cent showed some extreme compassion recently in regards to the recent passing of Kanye West's mother Danda West.

"That's really an unfortunate situation and I hope he can work his way through it," 50 told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday. "It's good to see him actually touring: You can work your way back into a comfortable space where you can deal with those situations."

For those unfamiliar, Kanye West's mother passed away a few weeks ago at home from complications while recovering from plastic surgery. The exact cause of death is still unknown.

Even though there has been months of dissing each other, 50 Cent claims he has never considered Kanye West a rival.

"He's a talented artist. I actually sat with him during the creation of 'Curtis' while he was creating his new album," said 50.

"I never viewed him as an actual enemy; what I was trying to do is build a competition."

Outkast Working On New Album

Rumor has it that Southern rap duo Outkast is hard at work on a new album. Knowing our boys from the ATL, it should be lyrically deep, and most likely a classic right off the shelf.

Just when you thought R.Kelly was on top of the world, he has to jump in and break out a jealous act! Jealous you say? Yes, I can't think of any legit reason why R.Kelly would kick Ne-Yo off his tour because of not having a deal aside from jealousy.

Rumor has it that Ne-Yo was getting so much attention from the fans that R.Kelly was feeling upstaged. The jealousy continued to boil, and over flowed resulting in R.Kelly kicking Ne-Yo off his tour.

Today, T.I spoke in public for the first time in regards to his weapon related charges. The video featuring T.I was posted on a hip hop website called streetcred.com.

The video, had Clifford Harris Jr. (T.I) saying that you should not believe everything that you hear in the news.

According to spokes person Patricia West, the cause of death was stemming from a cosmetic procedure.

The Powerhouse 2007 concert took place in Phily over the weekend and just happened to feature a surprise guest, 50 cent. It is believed that 50 Cent filled in for rapper T.I. while he is away on his 'legal Vacation'.

Anyways, 50 cent came on stage, then started bumping Kanye West's 'Stronger' beat with a pair of Stunna sunglasses. He then began to dance around and mock Kanye. He whipped off his shirt, spun it around his head then asked the crowd if he was still number one. The crowd of course went nuts.

Later that night at the show, Kanye came out and said something along the lines of “Ain’t y’all tired of fake a** rappers who dont make real music and run they mouth?". Birdman Scheduled To Release New Album

He’s not marrying the right production and lyrics to make classic hit records.

50 Cent's Employee Assaults Club Promoter

It seems like the last two weeks is all about gun charges! This time is is on of 50 cent's entourage/employees Dwaye "Hove" McKenzie.

According to the cops, Dwaye McKenzie and promoter Howard Allison were allegedly in a argument on October 10th at the Hartford nightclub 'Club Life'. This argument was in regards to Allison not being willing to announce an after party at 50 Cents mansion.

Allison says Mckenzie pulled up to him in his 2007 Cadillac Escalade, punched him in the face which put him in the vehicle. Mckenzie then continued to smack him in the right eye with his 9mm handgun.

The police caught up with Mckenzie on Oct 14, pulling him over in downtown Hartford on an unrelated weapons charge. When they searched his vehicle, a 9mm handgun as well as another gun was found.

McKenzie had actually lost his right to carry a handgun this summer when he fired the gun in front of a club after he was allegedly robbed of a $100K necklace.

Mckenzie appeared in court yesterday and was arraigned with two counts of carrying a pistol without a permit as well as two counts of second degree assault with one count of weapons in a motor vehicle.

Mckenzie was being held on 1.5 million dollars bail but was dropped to 750,000 dollars.

T.I Arrested On Gun Charges

The last few weeks seem to be riddled with rappers being arrested for gun related charges. The latest in arrest is on grammy nominated rapper T.I.

He was pulled over by authorities entering a Walgreens on what was said to be a sting operation setup by the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms). When they investigated the cars, guns were found and T.I was arrested for Parole Violation.

Later that day T.I. was intended to perform with Busta Rhymes and Alphamega, but the other two were forced to perform on their own due to the rapper being imprisoned.

T.I And Ludacris Squash Beef

Prodigy Pleads Guilty To Gun Charges

As mentioned in an article earlier this week, G-Unit Member, Prodigy of Mobb Deep was arrested for possession of a loaded .22 caliber hand gun. His trial began yesterday, October 9th, 2007.

During the hearing, Prodigy interrupted so he could admit that the gun was indeed his. Part of the plea bargain from the prosecution was that if Prodigy pleaded guilty he would most likely only do 3 1/2 years in a federal prison. Fortunately for him, he pleaded guilty as this was his third time being caught with an illegal handgun and probably would have been put away for upwards of 15 years had he tried to plead innocent.

Prodigy From Mobb Deep Begins Gun Trial

Next Tuesday (Oct 9th), Prodigy from Mobb Deep will begin his begin his trial for handgun possession.

Last October while trying to secure a parking spot in New York, the G-Unit rapper drove down oncoming traffic in his armored Suburban. This caused the police to pull him over and based on motions near the dash board (and the armored doors/windows) the police decided to search his vehicle.

Low and behold a loaded unlicensed .22 caliber hand gun lay in his console. Prodigy claims he had no idea it was in the vehicle.

If he is convicted of handgun possession he faces up to 15 years in prison as this is his third time being charged. I guess we will find out next week the results of yet another controversial trial.

It looks like the Kanye West vs 50 Cent rivalry has sparked interest of other artists looking to increase their future sales.

The next inline appears to be the giant current known as Timbaland. He wants to go up against his mentor/big brother Dr.Dre.

Here is what Timbaland told MTV.com: "I gotta go against my daddy," he said Friday from the ABC studios in New York, where the super-producer is filming a guest spot for the soap opera "One Life to Live." "I call [Dr.] Dre my daddy. To make it be some talk, I gotta go against my big brother. He's my big brother. [Who are] the two quarterbacks? Peyton Manning and Eli? When they have to go against each other, it's like, 'Do I really wanna go against my big brother?' Dre is my mentor. That would drive people to the stores. Like, 'Oh snap, Tim and Dre!' That would be big. I asked Jay-Z who he would go against. He said, 'The only person I would go against is my other homeboy: my friend Eminem.' "

This sales tactic is going to get old fast if this is the new method to sell records!

The Game Retires From Retirement?

The Game stated that after his last Album, The Doctor's Advocate, he would be retiring. Funny, because as rumor has it he is back in the studio recording his third studio album. I'm sure announcing your retirement may add some hype to your album, but c'mon if you say you are going to retire, stick to your guns. The fake retirement hasn't shown success for anybody else.

Off the top of my head I can name at least two other rappers who pretty much ended their career by announcing retirement just to come back with one hell of a failure of an album. The two that come to mind are Master P and Mase; both washed up as far as I'm concerned.

P-Diddy Closes Justins

Rumor has it that Diddy has shutdown his restaurant Justin's for the time being. There is no solid information on whether this is temporary or permanent but the word on the street is that he may be changing locations to something more upscale in Manhattan.

The current venue will still be open for private functions but is closed to the general public in terms of wolfing back food.

Trina's New Single Stolen From Studio

Slide N Slide records today revealed that Trina's New single, 'Single Again', featuring Christina Milan was stolen from a recording studio today and leaked to the Internet.

Unfortunately for the would be thieves they stole the wrong track. The real version of 'Single Again' is reported to be released later this week and is a solo effort by Trina alone and contains no third party appearances.

'Single Again' is off Trina's new album dubbed 'Da Baddest Chick Part 2: Reloaded" which is scheduled to be released somewhere in the near future.

50 Cent Didn't Lose To Kanye West

While everybody has been crowning Kanye West the opening week champion, there may be a caveat that was overlooked. The sound scan results that were released were only for North America and overlooked Europe.

According to sources 50 Cent sold as many as 2 million records across Europe landing himself in the #1 spot across the pond while Kanye West only managed to climb to the third position on the European charts.

Coincidentally, prior to the sound scan results 50 Cent had allegedly canceled his European tour which magically happened to become 'uncanceled' after the European results were released.

Maybe 50 Cent won't have to retire from solo albums after all.

After Kanye West beat out G-Unit rapper 50-cent last week with his astounding opening week numbers, G-Unit Duo Mobb Deep has started taking shots at Kanye West.

“I love Kanye as a producer and an artist, don’t get it twisted. I love Kanye West to death but that nigga can eat a d-ck” Havoc retorted in front of the cameras.

“I’m coming at you baby..you know I got the realest beats ever” he continued. “I got the best songs on the best rappers [album] to date” said Hav of his production credits for 50 Cent’s “Fully Loaded Clip” and “Curtis 187.”
